From Inauguration to ReputationThe PR Story Behind GNAM at ChorusLife
A ribbon-cutting lasts a second. Seduction, when it is real, lasts much longer.
On 17 June, a door opened at ChorusLife: GNAM, Bergamo’s Urban Food Hub — in the UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy. A date, a speech, a few photographs: an inauguration is always the easy part, the one everyone knows how to tell.
But I have never believed in launches. I have believed in the impressions that remain afterwards. A place that simply opens its doors fades like lipstick applied only once — it is noticed, forgotten, and replaced by the next day's headline.
That is why, on that day, we were not guiding people who simply had to write an article. We were accompanying those who needed to understand an obsession still taking shape: the reason why food, like fashion, can become a language before it becomes a product. The way a destination conceived around taste seeks to earn, alongside Parma and Alba, a place on the gastronomic map that truly matters.
A launch has never interested me as much as the attention that gives it meaning. That is where our work truly begins — before the lights, before the guest list, before a place becomes an image. There is an invisible yet essential moment in which a place becomes meaning.
What is told with care becomes a place people inhabit. It is not experienced only once; it becomes something people long to return to. That is what we did with GNAM. We did not simply open a door. We gave a gastronomic identity the voice to tell its own story — and found the people ready to listen, with the same attention reserved for a true love story.
